You have the same surgical group as I used (I used the Norfolk office). I would recommend getting protein samples. What you like now is not the same as what you will be able to tolerate post-op. Our surgical group usually sends patients home on stage 3 foods. I am only able to eat 1oz of lean meat/protein for a meal (this will gradually increase as you get further out) . As a result, I tend to sick with scrambled eggs and carb master yogart (kroger vanilla). Although I had a lot of s/f jello pre-op I really havent had much since surgery. I do however have lots of sugar free popsicles (my pouch likes cold things better). When you leave the hospital, your bariatric coordinator will give you a schedule to start your protein and various vitamins. If you follow the schedule you will do fine, just remember to sip, sip, sip.

LOL was not sure. The is also a Dr Andrew Kreigel as well. Did not impress me. Thought he was too agressive in this approach. You will never do wrong with Mitchel Kreiger

You should be meeting with your nutrionist soon. Totally understand being confused. If you are not sure they will go over stuff with you. In the beginning you will not be drinking alot. Do not buy huge amounts right now.
Suggest the 1st week or so Isopure liquid ... they are in glass bottles. Check out the refrigerator sections of a vitamin shop. the orange pineapple was my favorite flavor. I watered them down and sipped all day. As you get farther out you will increase you fluid intake.
Keep in mind that your tastebuds pre and post op may change. Get samples to try out at 1st. You may want to network with someone who lives close to you and swap samples too.
Once you get going work toward bigger bags of protein. I like Costco size EAS vanilla powder. EAS vanilla with sugar free flavors are pretty good or I add a bit of coffee too. Comes in chocolate too... I prefer Trader Joes chocolate I add lactaid milk to it.
Good luck and keep in touch
