check out the hospital section on here. I highly suggest checking out the Fair Oaks Hospital program. All their anestisits are bariatric trained. You want the best. Dr Moazzez is a superior surgeon.
I did not choose Potomac Hospital as they have a great many issues with suck anestisits. I have 1st hand knowledge. Only go to Fair Oaks now.
Do your reasearch and go to presentations. Just remember this is only a tool and we have to make life time changes. We are all a work in progress.
Good luck !

Just keep in mind these surgeries are just a tool. We have to change our lives as well. You will need to do your research . Everyone has their own ideas of what is the best surgery for them

Hello -- It has just occured to me that I might need to have weight loss surgery. I can often loose some weight but can never seem to keep it off. I don't know where to start. I was thinking of the Lap band but only because it seemed less invasive. Can anyone give some advice?
I did not have issues with my nails until I had my gallbladder and a colonoscopy in the same month. Now my nails are peeling and chipping. I was off my routine with my protein. It could be that.
I have been making sure my nails are oiled and been using protective nail polish. Increasing my proteins We will see if they get better.
Take care.
Watch when drinking not to take in too much air. Pretty much you should be sipping slowly fluids all day long. Just take it slow. Make sure no straws that can take in more air too.
I did not have a gas problem Hope the suggestions help.
Take it easy and one day at a time.
