Well, as several people here know, my hubby was selected to advance to Warrant Officer, which means that we go back for orders, which means a transfer. I just got here and haven't even finished unpacking, so the promotion is great but possibility of a move really stinks. Well, hubby came home today and informed me that he has accepted orders (uuummm....don't we chat about that BEFORE accepting them???). He was offered: Sasabo, Japan (Uummm....NO!), San Diego (I'll consider the drive back across country) and NORFOLK! Looks like I'm staying after-all! Hurray! He is going to go to some Amphib Construction Batallion in Norfolk. Kinda cool since he has NEVER done ANYTHING regarding construction, Seabees or anything like that. I know, odd, huh???? So, looks like you guys are stuck with me for another 3 years. Jill 263/183/145

 So, what EXCUSE are you gonna come up with now for NOT getting all the unpacking done? hmmm? Woooohoooo - that's AWESOME!!!!! ...major congrats (again) to you John and Im happy for both of you that your life won't be upheaved, yet again, so soon. Wish like hades, I knew what the hell was going on with MINE, from one minute to the next. Remember the whining and snifflin' over lunch 'cause Paul was going to be gone for 5 weeks? Uh, well, guess who's HOME?!? :) LOL, yep, got a call yesterday, early morning, the submarine was limping back to the dock. Just got it out of drydock and the same problem it went INTO there with 6 months ago, it still has. Soooooooooo - new check out time/date is 5 days to 5 weeks, depending on a part. The upside? He's HOME!!! The downside? It's hard adjusting the 'emotions' that come with saying goodbye so many freakn times. Figure you're a Navy wife, you'll understand that statement completely! These deployments can be a rollercoaster of emotions. Congrats again to JOHN - hugs to both, Lei

Jill, We may be up orders next year. Unless my hubby retires. OH NO, NOT YET!!!! I am not looking for retirement. He has 24 years in and I want him to go 30. But if I had the choose from the 3 I would have picked San Diego, Lived there for 2 years. Loved It!!!!!! Anyway, Congatulations to your hubby. Where's the party?????????? You do know that when you get promoted you have to give a party. Ellie
