Does anyone know where you can get achieve one coffee protein drinks, other than off the internet? Like have you seen them in any stores? They are so expensive to order online. They are the only protein drinks I can tolerate. Also have you heard if there are deaf achieve one drink? Second question. Can anyone explain and tell me about the foot size changes. Some people say that the length size gets smaller I dont see how that can be? And how long after surgery does this take affect?

Cheryl, I drink EAS's Advant-Edge coffee drinks; but the only place I know to get them is at the commissary here at Fort Lee. My parents pick them up for me since my Dad is retired Army and you're right, its also my life blood in the mornings to start my day off right with a decent amount of protein. I can stomach the others; but the coffee one I actually enjoy. Don't know about the foot thing though. I've heard something similar to what you have said; but I didn't experience and shrinkage or anything along those lines. Sorry. Keith

I really don't understand the foot size thing either but I can tell you... it is true. I've worn a size 12 since I was age 13 no matter whether I weighed 170 or 270. But, now that I'm back down and now below 170... my 12s are falling off. I'm more of an 11 or so and my foot has narrowed as well. I cannot say that I understand it at all. I noticed the foot size change several months ago so somewhere around 6-9 months post-op. Kathy

Cheryl, Hey There!!!! I think that is has to really do with width..BUT as your foot shrinks and your weight decreases you will probably notice going down half a size or maybe an entire size because the fat on your foot goes away. Usually with increased weight your feet will get bigger...just think about pregnancy...I could open up my anantomy and physiology books and give you a quick lesson in bone growth from weight bearing also...but the bone growth from increased weight bearing is a minimal compared to the the shrinkage in your feet at this point. My favorite sandals are too big now..but I keep wearing them still. And hey...I am with you on that coffee. I have been ordering the vanilla nut like crazy !! maybe I will try the commisarry like Keith said. Hugs, Dana

Hey there Cheryl! I do not know about the protein drinks. I do not drink that kind. I just "doctor" the other ones up by adding fruit and changing the flavor up and then I do not taste the protein flavor and after taste. As for the shoe size thing...I was a size 12 wide pre op and now at one year post op I am in a size 10 medium. I noticed this gradually and it did not really "hit" me until I almost tripped on the treadmill with my now oversized sneakers. I went and got fitted for a new pair that work much better. I guess I was about 8-9 months out when I did this. Tammy C

If you go on the manufacturer's website they have a store locator. There was one listed near Silver Spring MD and my sis says the store is closed. There is one listed in Richmond and I have not needed to go there yet, and I do not know if they are still open. If you find the one in Richmond, let me know. I can go by when I have my next post op appointment. Got it: Joe's Market 400 Libbie Ave. Richmond 23226 (804)285-5637 Lois
