Thrift Shops, here I come...

Good morning, everyone....well I should be in church right now but when I went to get dressed EVERYTHING was toooooo big. I ended up trying on clothes and cleaning out my closet and now it is BARE..I have two large garbage bags full of clothes, not counting the other three bags I have set aside for Melinda and Shannon. I got on the scales this morning and I have been on a stall for weeks but today I dropped 4 more pounds!!!! So this payday, I am going to have to set aside some bucks to go find some clothes that fit!!!!! I didn't go through all this to wear something that is too big! Now, I do have casual clothes that fit but not to wear to church. I had a date last night....can you believe it???? Anyway, we met at a mexican place and had the best dinner and laughed most of the evening away. He was an older gentleman but sooooo much fun. I gave him a hard time about an accident he had last winter and told him that I have a clean record on driving. Anyway, we decided to go to the park and walk off our dinner and as I was backing out, I hit a car!!!!!!! EMBARASSING... LOL..No damage to the other car but mine had a good scratch. Well, you can imagine the ribbing I got with that. The walk in the park was great...we walked 2 miles and then stood outside the cars and talked til late in the evening. He didn't want to leave...I thought he was very sweet. We have plans to see each other again so we will see. Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It is beautiful outside today!!! Betsy! That is so awesome!!!!!!!!!! about the date, sorry about the car oopsy! Good for you!!!!!! I can no**** to start purging clothes that are too big for me from my closet! Luckily I have a few things here and there that should get me into 20s....froim there on I'll have to do the Thrifties and Walmart thing! It's not so prettyout here, but I have abig research paper due this Thursday so I better go and stop stalling! Kirsten

Hi Kirsten...Thanks for the encouragement...I was a little sad to see some of the clothes go but it is time for new stuff...no more hiding behind miles of fabric!!!! I am looking forward to going and buying new stuff but I have to get it at thrift stores or on sale cause I probably won't be able to wear it very long... Hugs, Betsy

Hey Christine, you pretty lady you...You should't have any problems getting dates!!!!! Well, surprise...another date tonight...now I think he is more serious about me than I am him but we have another date next Sunday...he lives in Greensboro which is about an hour away. Hey Betsy... Sounds like your night was pretty sweet other than your minor vihicular slip. What a trip that that happened right after your razzed him! I bet your cheeks blushed! I know mine would have. How awesome that you get to shop for some new or newer stuff! I love thrift store shopping but currently not many thrift stores have my size. EH! Hi Shele....Yeah, it was a fun night...had another date tonight which was nice but I think he is getting serious tooo fast for me. I just want to meet some new friends for now. Don't want to get serious quite yet...too much going on in my life right now. I am looking forward to shopping for some clothes without a doubt....you can hardly fine anything in big sizes that are fashionable so I am looking forward to shopping. Cathy, yeah it is fun...the same guy came over tonight too...a little scary cause I don't want to get serious just yet...have alot to deal with right now. Betsy............ Oh you hot thing! I too had to clean out my closet. Plus, I too your advice and went to the local thrift store and found absolutely nothing! It was a pain, cause nothing is seperated out of anything. So, hubby took me to TJ Maxx and I picked up a few things. Funny how the closthes are smaller, and they fit, but I look at them and think "Oh, that's too small". Congrats on geting over the stall, too. Jill 263/182/145
