. ..and those that know me, knows it takes a LOT to rendor me speecheless! Not sure how many of you saw my "Monday morning post" ...but in it, I mentioned that I'd LOST my pedometer at Busch Gardens this past Sunday. To many (heck, all?) it's probably silly that I'd put such a sentimental value on something so materialistic and replaceable. For me, this one was different. It was VERY VALUABLE in the sense that it was the beginning steps to my freedom and it's been glued to my hip, for 3+ years. Paul and I visited a sports shop in Poulsbo WA, the week before my surgery. We even went so far as to splurge on a $40 pedometer, vs the more reasonable options. I figured if it's gonna be my best friend (for life) I needed to invest in one that'll last. So, long story over? [anyone still awake out there] .... Wendy G., who was at the park with me that day and convinced me to stop off at the "Lost and Found" on my way out. Well, pretty much as the pessimist in me EXPECTED, 8 hours later (as we were leaving) we checked and it had NOT been returned. The lady gave me a form to fill out and Im sure I rolled my eyes as I was filling it out. Yep. I had NO faith, in this time and age, that anyone would give two rips about returning it. The Brady Bunch days of living are LONG gone. Okay - I promise, Im wrapping up my story now - so last night, I go to check my mail and GUESS WHAT'S IN MY MAIL BOX? Hmmmmm? Nope, you gotta guess - go on! Give up? LOL, well, in a million years I never woulda' expected to check mail and find my PEDOMETER!!!! Busch Gardens mailed it back to me with a note stating a member found it and turned it in. Can you believe that?!? I have my pedometer with all it's sentimental values, back!!! ...but more importantly? I received a positive injection of optimism and faith in our fellow man/woman! Have a great day ~ Lei .

...yea of little faith, girlfriend!! I am so glad you got your pedometer back, but more importantly it sort of has restored optimism in probably more people than you -- and me!! Speaking of pedometers, I am on a challenge from the main board for steps, and so of course I had to go out and BUY about 6 different ones, put them all on (an extra 2 pounds for sure) and see, at the end of the day, which one gave me the most steps!! That's the one I bought. love

Aaaw - I wish we lived closer, Id go walking with you. You and I have a lotta time available during the day, that should be spent TOGETHER - in lieu of opposite ends of the state, alone! lol, I keep hoping ALL my girlfriends here would quit their jobs, but it's not working, so far. What is the STEPS challenge? Lord knows, I need all the challenges I can give myself right now. Love you - ME

LMAO - taking that PRINCESS title just a wee bit too far, arent we?? hehehe Hopefully I can get you to go dancing BEFORE that! I need to burn the calories and the "D" word is so much more fun then the "E" word.
