Not A Joke ..

Well , Life sure knows how to jump up and hit you square in the mouth sometimes . For the past I dunno .. 6 months or so I have notices a swelling in my left side , along with a very hard nodule . And the pain has been getting increasingly instense . So .. knowing from my past 12 hernia repairs ( Pre-RNY ) I have yet another hernia .. along with what appears to be a growth . Not sure what it could be , I just know that it is hard as a rock .. and does not move much .. sticks out bad . The pain has gotten where it is not bearable .. so .. in saying that .. I did luck out .. Tuesday I have an appointment to see the PS surgeon . I have had this apt for months - trying to get my tummy tuck and ab recontstruction. And here is where he will have to put up or shut up .. as this hernia will need to be fixed .I will be scheduled for surgery .. I just do not know when .. ( Hoping it will be after my trip to VA Beach .. ) I have managed this far .. in pain .. I can surely last another week . And No , I am sure it is not a twisted hernia .. as all functions are normal LOL .. I will keep ya updated .. and hope that he gives me the TT and the Hernia Repair .. Love ya, Tink

Well, what the MC he#$! Is there any chance that this will get you your PS any sooner? (Just looking for that silver lining, you know!) Hope they can get you on the mend quickly and safely! Morning beautiful, Let's be positive about this even though it's a pain literally. You have your appointment and a hernia. Let's hope and pray that you get approval for PS and that having the hernia certainly helps your chances and while in there the surgeon can take a good look and see if there is anything else going on as well (additional hernias, scar tissue etc) and fix them. Yikes, unidentified PAIN is never a good thing and I hope the appointment tomorrow finds the reason for it. In a perfect world (minus the stupid Murphy Factor) this is going to be what gets that tummy tuck APPROVED! Sometimes, those stupid dumb hernias can be a godsend to getting the panni approved. Let us know as soon as YOU KNOW, please!

Awww, Sweetie...that is not fun but on the lighter side...maybe you can get your tt you have been wanting. Too bad the hernia is not in the tata area...hehe. Hey woman, Good gawd, 12 hernia repairs?? Mercy! I though I was bad, having had 4. The last one seemed to do the trick though (although I keep fingers crossed occasionally when I feel something or I get a belly cramp), as the PS used mesh and tightened the muscles up really well. Hopefully you can get it repair along with tuck and muscle tightening to avoid future surgeries. Let us know how the appt. goes! Wendy
