Hey sweet stuff - Unfortunatley, Kidney Stones CAN be a common side effect of this surgery - it's due to the excessive CALCIUM we're ingesting. It's kinda like a catch 22, you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. I take 2000 mg's of Calcium Citrate a day and have for 3 years, so far (thankfully) ive had NO adverse reactions to it. I'm HOPING this link comes through and you can access it - it's a great explanation (complete with pictures of the stones that form) about Calcium Citrate. http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/sGgqRLIdfsHq8SWTwhDc77oTXzSkSsY4J6jGcEyZkc_sv1m-2jHMv9iCxjhHy0uzOnSfrYGQEm56M6jAeOo28AWNUaNUzlR8KeEE/Calcium/CalciumMetabolism.pdf If it doesnt come over as a clickable link - try cutting and pasting it into your browser. Hope you're feeling BETTER!!!! ~ Lei
