Many have said wls will be "the ride of your life." I believed them, but now I know how true it really is! WoW!!! It's been a crazy two weeks, dealing with the squirts, sleeping on my back only(last night i actually slept onmy side with the lhelp of a king sized pillow!!! ), liquid diet, gettin in all the protein I can, serious peaks and valleys on the emotional roller coaster, pain, being cared for because you're so helpless at first(The early wow moments I'm convinced are being able to put your socks on for the first time.....or using the toilet after your catheters been taken out.....or just feeling better,) looking at huge, painful bruises from IVs and thinking people are for sure gonna think you're a druggy(I had four track marks from my arterial IV!), scabby incision sites, an insane fear of being skinny, and a few others. That's been my two weeks! I was asked yesterday if it's worth it. I replied, "well, I've lost about 19 lbs so far!?!" I have had what I consider my first WOW moment. My husband took my hand the other night and was holding it and then put his thumb and middle finger around my wirst and was all, "I haven't been able to do this in years!" What a rush! Going back to the feeling better....I've seen where a lot of people have remarked that there comes a point where it's like, well, a remarkable moment when you feel this. I dont know if it's too early for this feeling. I'm sure to have some more valleys, that's life. But yesterday I got out and walked and spent time with my family. I'll take whatever peaks I can get!! I don't go back for my two week chec****il next Monday as my surgeons out of the office this week. So I dont have anything official and I have to continue the liquid diet until then. I want to thank everyone who's been riding along with me! You're all angels! And thanks for taking time to "listen" to me! Kirsten

Congrats on making out of the first two weeks. I remember that struggle. If you had asked me then if I would still have the surgery I'm not sure I would have said yes. But, today... I would recommend it to anyone who needed to lose 100lbs and could commit to the program. I'm so happy I did this. The dragon breath is a memory though. Gah, I remember the days I couldn't stand to be in the room with my own breath. Congrats and keep up the good work.

told ya!! And it just keeps getting better. Like I said, just enjoy it, remember all your wow moments. I remember the wrist thingy too, my husband said 'your wrist is skinny', before he noticed anything else about where I had lost. Funny. I'm so proud of you Kirsten, you have such a great attitude. This will be so fun for you, to have this opportunity to take back your life, and your health, and to be able to do all the things you want to do. Have fun! love donna
