Hey Nat........... I take the cinnamon flavored and add 1/2 scoop of Protein Delite Chocolate Coconut protein powder and it is AWESOME!!!!! It'll be a little thick, so add a bit more water to think it down just a little. Plus, you get the added protein in it. Jill 263/190/145

Natalie, At 2 years out, how much protein do you recommend. When I saw your coment about the 120 grams I realized that maybe I don't get enough. Do you still do supplements? Our nutritionist in NoVA does not recommend them and says you can get the 70-80 grams from food. I currently get 50 from shakes each day.

Hey Cathy .. good to see you !!! Most reccomend 60 to 100 grams . I still shoot for 120 as I am very active and my motabolism stays in full swing if I can keep up my levels . It also helps me to stay toned , and assist in my weight training . Knowing that at 2 years out we are absorbing more , but studies still do not show how much . I keep mine high as I just do not want to get depleted or begin gaining again . Saying that too much protein and you can gain if you are not active . It is a terrible little circle huh .. I still do 2 shakes a day . I am not a real big meat eater any more .. Most of the time I eat a lot of Turkey , Fish - or Chicken , but it is hard for me to do with my schedule . Each doc is different . I know that Dr.Hutchers group wants you to maintain your protein by what ever means works for you . I just know that newly post op from month 3 to 12 I kept my levels at 120 or better and it worked . Hugs and hope to see you in Richmond in June , Natalie
