CALCIUM - PLEASE READ
This weekend was not just a Mother Clucker weekend at Bets.. but a find as well . Dianna and I decided to stop at Walmart on our way to Betsys and we found Calcium Citrate in a Candy\Cake form .
I cannot tell you how heavenly these taste . 500 mg of Calcium . The only thing I seen about them that could concern some is that it has 40 calories . But I am here to tell you I will take the calories any day . I struggle to get in my calcuium as I am so busy and forget to take . These go down so easy .. and OMG the taste is magical . They come in Lemon Creame - Caramel , Fudge , Mint Fudge .
We bough almost the entire rack the next day while out ..
The cost was 5.69 for 40 .
Try these .. you will not be disapointed .. right Mother Cluckers ??
Love you .
Nat
Hey, Nat!
These are the Citracal ones, right? Rich and I bought a box to try. Not bad at all. And best they are calcium citrate!!!!
But for me...the 5g of sugar per is a bit "pricey" on the my carb count for the day. I'm pretty carb sensitive so 20g a day is too high a price. However, I might have 1 per day. I've got to figure out the cost effectiveness of them, as well.
Your WalMart price is $2 less than what Target was selling them for.
Right now, we are using the Citracal D Petites. Same company. They are smaller than the calcium "horsepills" so they go down much easier. But 2 pills are only 400 mg. I've doing 2 pills 4 times a day for 1600 mg.
Though I am tweaking my calcium since I just had parathyroid surgery.
Oh, and BTW...my calcium level was 9.5!!!!! That is perfect. Just perfect. I haven't had a *normal* calcium level in at least 3 years due to my parathyroid issues (long before WLS).
Hugs, Kathy
Thanks for the info. I was just at a Rite Aid today and they have a GNC in them. I have my surgery next Tuesday and couldn't remember which type of calcium we were supposed to take. Thanks for answering that question, and once again for the scoop on something good! I'll have ot give them a try.
Oh do you, or anyone else know anything about not taking biotin with other meds? It says it on the bottle of biotin that i have, so i haven't taken it at all....
