This is worth it, right? I have a second day of this. How did you swallow the entire amount without hurling?

LOL !!!! Hold your nose and chase it with something sweet..like Crystal Lite !!! My doc doesn't require that but I have been doing the liquid diet thing for several days. I think I will go get one tonight after my son's Akido. I don't think he would appreciate if I took it before we left..hehehe Good Luck with your surgery. Mine is tomorrow. Dana

What did you have to do to clean out your system, then? Are you getting Rou-enY or gastric banding?

My doc is doing both of those at once. We just have to be on clear liquids after midnight. I WAS on clear liquids for the last few days but just blew it with crab legs !!!

Someone I know from my group said use a straw because it gets the taste pass your taste buds...she is doing her prep today as well.

Oh, Honey, I feel for you....I didn't have to do that before my surgery but I did have to do it before a colonoscopy....YUCK It is the worst part...surgery will be a breeze after...Good luck and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs, Betsy

Hi Kristine Yes it is very worth it!!!! I didn't do so well with my fleets...but evidently I got enough in me before !! I sat in the bathroom with the trash can between my knees - coming out both ends! I agree that stuff is NASTY!!!!! But...is it worth it???? OH MY YES!!!!! It is sooooooo worth it!!! I will be praying for you! It goes by quickly!!! I cannot believe I am already over six months out!!! Many hugs and prayers coming your way! Hugs Jill

drink it through a straw with lemonade. Most of it bypasses your taste buds and the lemonade helps hide the rest. Good luck, Tonya

I was on clear liquids only the last day, and since they weren't operating on my colon, only the small intestine, the bowel prep wasn't necessary. Like Betsy, I have had to do it for the wonderful colonscopy, though! Thankfully I don't have a sensitive gag reflex. Good luck, it's almost over!!! Lois
