2nd Charlottesville Meet & Greet Poll

I need your answers to this in order to do the next meet. I have a Mexican resteraunt here that can accomidate us or IHOP the mexican rest. wont honor our cards but I think IHOP will. Do you perfer Sat. Or Sunday afternoon or eve. I have some who have voiced no buffett please let me here your voices on this in order to make the next event a pleasant one for all.

Hi Melinda, I would prefer somewhere that will honor my card. I could get happy with a taco salad, OR with some breakfast food at Ihop, so I prefer whichever will give me the child's rate. Lois

I prefer Sat afternnon. I love mexican and it is cheap anyway for no more than i eat. I order from the a la cart menu and still cant eat it all. I still love it though. Shannon

Hi Melinda!! I so enjoyed the last meet and greet, and may travel the 2 hours to come down to another one, as long as it is in my schedule to do so. So with that being said my opinion may not count as much as a local that can really comitt to come I like Mexican. It seems to go down easy for me (Although I know it dosent for a few, but with the 2 choices, Mexican will go down easier) and to get around the resturant cards, people need to get buddies and share. I have never used a resturant card, and that is for the plain fact that these resturants are in the business of making money, and they did not do this to me, I did this to me. I always share and/or take home left overs. This does not bother me in the least. When I was at the last meet and greet, I met Betsy at the door, and she was waiting for a resturant card. I pulled her in and paid full price for her, so my lunch ended up being almost $20, and I didnt mind. I dont have money to burn, but paying full price dosent bug me in the least..... So, with all that, I would go Mexican, paying full price! Thanks for organizing another event!!! Dianna

Melinda , Wow another luncheon.. how great . Thanks for taking time to put this together again . I just want to say .. For me it is not about the food . It is about the people . I go for that alone . Making memories that last .. Food does not last LOL As to surgery cards, I have to agree with Dianna , It has always been my philosophy that My surgery was not something the resturant had anything to do with . They are in this for making money and serving people . I never have used the card and never will . It is so easy just to share . Di and I do it ALL the time .. Thank God we love the same kinds of foods LOL And as to eating from the Kids menu . I would rather eat dog food . There is more nutrician in that than in the kids menu some of these restraunts offer . They are all full of fried greasy foods , cheese sandwiches .. chicken tenders coated in bread and grease . You are much better off choosing something healthy from the adult menu . And if you are at a point in your surgery where you can not eat from that .. you can always order soup . So .. my 2cents on it all . I look forward to seeing everyone if my schedule allows . I am approaching busy season with my work and is a possiblity I could be in the air soon . I look forward to it .
