Any Lawyers? Ok I am back again and needing help!
Ok turn of events come to where I have been told I really dont have a case - even though the insurance company has told me it was covered. It was a possible error on their part - my company doesn't have a rider etc for it. I am ready to give up but thanks to my AWESOME husband and a close friend - I am considering contacting a lawyer. I have no clue where to begin or if i have a solid case. In my mind, they (the ins co) has costed me ALOT of money in copays, medicines, evals, and time from work not to mention the emotional ups and downs these past months. I really dont want to jump into something that is pointless before i start.
Does anyone have any experience legally with fighting ins co? Anyone know any good lawyers in richmond that might be willing to hear my case? What is everyone's opinion - do i have something to stand on or no? Its to the point where I dont want someone else being told this and getting screwed over like I have. If i get the surgery out of it that is a bonus but I just dont want to think i was walked on and never fought back.
Thank you all again for all the wonderful comments...it was the last two posts and comments that I have read over and over the past two days to keep me going.

Oh, Honey, I feel so bad for you right now but giving up is not the answer. I will do what ever you need me to do but I have no clue about any lawyers. Just please don't give up, Sweetie...we are all behind you in this fight for your life and health. I love you and you deserve this life saving surgery. You are a beautiful lady, inside and out and I want this for you soo bad, Nicole. Please, if you can think of anything I can do, please just let me know. I love you.
Hugs,
Betsy
Nicole-
Sorry to hear about all that is going on for you. I would contact that guy that the other person posted about....maybe he'll give you some guidance either way.
Hang in there....

PS...I sent in my month-two program sheet.....no comment from the good Dr....so we'll see what that means in the long run for me.
Nicole I dont know if you have ever read the trails I went threw to get this surgery and disability, But whatever you do DONT GIVE UP!!!! Let your voice be heard all over Richmond do what you need to do. Find a lawyer to do on a countious basis they only get paid if you win, and most will give you a 1/2 to an hour consultation do as I did I looked in the phonebook for my attorney. Or the one listed here on the board. DO NOT GIVE UP sweetie. Thats what they want you to do.Make yourself HEARD!!!!! Best wishes your in my prayers.
