Tummy Changes
I'm just 3 months out, a newbie by any standards, but I thought I'd figured out what my stomach can handle. I get the same thing for lunch everyday at work, because its normally safe. However, today I eat it and I get crazy sick and start dumping! What the heck? Will my stomach always be changing like this? How am I supposed to know what won't make me sick if it keeps changing? Or is this just a fluke? Perhaps a poorly made wrap?
Excuse me...time to head back to the restroom! Ugh!
I had the same problem early out from surgery. However, as time passed, I became better aware of my limits and what I could or could not eat and be comfortable afterwards. It's a game your body plays with you to make sure your mind is listening. Perhaps you ate a little too fast or drank too soon before or after your meal. It could be a million little things.
It takes guts, but keep trying new things and the things that make you sick for awhile. I found that some things that originally didn't sit well with me go down fine now with no complications. Also, the further you get out from surgery, the more you can eat (in quantity and in terms of an expanding menu). I'm lucky because the only thing I really can't stand now that I loved (too much and often) before surgery is grilled hamburgers. But hamburger seems to be difficult for many people to tolerate.
Side salds and soup for lunch have been my blessing. Good luck.

Thanks Dave!
I just thought it was weird, since I had it so often. Hmm...I guess every day is a surprise. Sometimes I forget that! I'm thinking the woman may have put the wrong dressing on my wrap. She was new. I didn't think of that until I was going over the ingredients in my head for the 8 millionth time. I think I'll bring my lunch for the rest of the week. I'm pretty sick of this wrap thingy anyway.
