Anyone from Northern VA having surgery this month? June 20th is my date..Dr. Halmi

My RNY surgery is Jun 20 at INOVA Fair Oaks..?.any one have their surgery there?  Or have Dr. Halmi?

Dr. Halmi is great!!  I had my surgery March 29th..

This is Gainesville checking in.  I don't have a date as I still have to complete my hoops for Tricare.  I attend the Bluepoint surgery group though.  Dr Halmi did the seminar but I was seen by Dr Moazzez..

I'm thinking about changing -not becasue I don't like them but I think I would prefer the sleeve and becasue I'm Tricare they don't cover it, so I'm thinking about trying for a referral down to Portsmouth for sleeve.  It would mean waiting nearly another year (maybe) so I'm keeping my options open.

How are things going for you now you have had your surgery?

I hope yoursurgery went well and that you are recovering OK.  I have not been the message board in some time.  I had my surgery with Dr. Halmi at Potomac Hospital in Aug 2010.  I am now down 102 lbs!  The first 6 months are the easiest so put all your energies into making the most of those months with lots and lots of exercise and you will do great!  I have about 10-20 lbs to go.

I attend the support group meetings at Potomac Hospital.
