Where is all the air in my new tummy coming from? This started yesterday. I was doing well with this until then. Any ideas?

Also, when will I fell like I am not dehydrating? I am SO thirsty!

Hi, During surgery air is actually pumped into your stomach cavity, therefore causing major gas afterwards. Walking will help, but if it it is intolerable, call your drs. office and see if they will recommend something over the counter. As far as the thirst goes, sip, sip, sip, and after a month or two it wil settle down. But it is important that you try to keep a drink beside of you so that you do  not become dehydrated. Best of luck and welcome to the losers bench, Pam.

try some gas-x   Not sure of the exact name

Watch when drinking not to take in too much air.   Pretty much you should be sipping slowly fluids all day long.    Just take it slow.   Make sure no straws that can take in more air too.

I did not have a gas problem   Hope the suggestions help.

Take it easy and one day at a time.
