Dr. Gregory Adams, Bon Secours Surgical Weight loss center..
I haven't actually had surgery yet, but I am scheduled for August 30th and Dr. Adams will be my surgeon. So far, he has been really awesome. He seems like he cares about you and the process. He's very serious about you knowing what kind of changes are expected of you and how the surgery will affect you. He was the doctor that spoke at my seminar and he even comes to some of the support group meetings just to check in.
I DO know that I chose the Bon Secours Surgical Weight Loss Center because it is rated number 1 in Virginia and in the top 5% nationwide...the fact that Dr. Spencer (or it could have been Dr. Moore can't quite remember lol) was the first to perform a weight loss procedure in the state isn't too shabby either.

Oh cool!! I am so glad to find someone that is going to the same doctor. I did get a good impression from Dr. Adams. Which surgery are you getting? I am looking at the RNY. What do you think of the surgery scheduler Vicki? Good luck with your surgery, lets keep in touch!
I'm going in for the Lap. RNY...initially I went to see about the Lapband but he said that they wouldn't do anything but RNY on someone with as many comorbidities as I had
BUT...I'm happy with the decision to do the RNY. LOL, it's funny you should mention Vicki, because I was just talking to my husband about that. My FIRST impression wasn't so good cuz she was riding my hindend down the road and into the parking lot. Then, I met her and I've talked to her and she's nice....just seems like she may have too much on her shoulders.

She is nice but at first she told me that the surgery wasn't even covered under my insurance, which it is, and she is treating me like she doesn't want me to have the surgery, it's wierd. I even had to inform her about a revision on my insurance... thank goodness I have someone at the insurance company that is working with me.
Hmmm that IS weird because she was the complete opposite with me! It was like she was chomping at the bit to get me scheduled...and when my records were taking a while to get she called me (I guess) just to fuss about how long they were taking. I'm glad you do have someone at the insurance company helping you, if not you may have had a long stressful process ahead of you. How far into the process have you gotten?
