Some VA Buddies??

Hey everyone!!  I had my RNY about 4 months ago, but I haven't really been on the local boards much.  I live in Annandale.  I would love to get to know some people who live in the DC Metro/NOVA area who understand what I am going through.  Maybe we could work out together, or hang out together , or --- whatever.  Is there already some sort of group that gets together (if so, can I join?)  Wanna start one??  Let me know

HI, I'm not so sure where Annandale is. I leved in Virginia years ago, and am in the process of reloacating to the state. I will be in the Staunton/Waynesboro area. I am almost 7 years out of surgery and am going to start looking for a support group in the area. Good luck to you as you start this wonderfully exciting journey. Congratulations on your surgery!       Inova Fair Oak Hospital has a support groups & offers exersise classes    Inova Fairfax may too. 

I had my surgery at Fair Oaks and its a bit too far but the Nutritionist support groups were good.    

Does your doctor have some group stuff?  

There's also the Staple Club that meets the second Monday every month at the Chantilly Government Center just off Westfields Blvd on Stonecroft. It's run my Dr Anez' (sp) PA / dietitian. It's open to patients of any surgeon RNY, DS and VSG folks have all attended. I've been attending for 2 years and I really like this group.
