Support Groups in Alexandria VA?

I am 5 years post gastric bypass surgery and now live in Alexandria and was wondering if anyone knew of any support groups in the area.  I really need to get back on track and know that I need support from others that have had this surgery.

The support group that comes to mind that may work well for you is the one at Potomac Hospital.  It is the first Thursday of each month in the Education Center (behind the hospital, lower floor) and runs from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. 

There is also another support group in Fredericksburg on the second Wednesday of each month at the Free Lance Star Building in old town Fredericksburg.  It is from 7:00 -8:30 PM.

 Hey! I'm in Alexandria, too--in Del Ray--and my surgeon's support group is in herndon--not exactly easy for me!

I am set to have surgery on March 10--but--I would be more than happy to help start our own little informal group here in Alexandria!

The Fairfax support group schedule is every 3rd Monday of the month, from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm at 3700 Joseph Siewick Drive in the Conference Center of Medical Building at Fair Oaks Hospital.
