We bought about 1/2 bushel of apples to support our local Boy Scout troop. I figured I'd eat them with peanut butter or just as a snack but of course, since they are right there, I don't want them. I want to use them or some of them before they rot

Any one have a recipe for an apple pie or any apple dessert will do. Preferably a WLS recipe, please. Thanks for any help given

Sugar Free Apple Pie Recipe

Apple pie is definitely more healthy for you than chocolate cake or candy! Here's a sugar free variety which will help keep it even more healthy. The cinnamon and nutmeg both are shown to have healthy benefits, and as they say, an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Note that this is MUCH better than traditional apple pie as far as it being healthy for you -

3/4 cup water
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
1 Tbsp butter
20 packets Splenda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
4 apples
2 9-inch pie shells

Start out by heating the oven up to 350F. While that's happening, get a small saucepan. Boil the water. Mix together the cornstarch and cold water in a glass, then mix this into the boiling water. Stir this constantly on low heat for 2 minutes, then take it off the heat.

Melt the butter slightly and blend it and the Splenda in to the pot that just came off the heat, with the cornstarch and water. Add in the two spices.

Peel the apples, then take out their cores and dice them into bite-sized pieces. Put these into a bowl. Pour the mixture of cornstarch and spices over the apples and mix thoroughly.

Lay one pie shell down into a metal pie pan. Put the fruit into this shell, then cover with the second pie shell. Crimp the edges of the pie shut. Cut a few vents into the top shell to let steam escape. Feel free to use pretty designs here!

Now bake for 45 minutes. Let cool, and enjoy!

I have no idea what the calorie count etc is but wanted to at least give you some recipe before your apples rotted!
