Morning all!!  So how was your weekend?  Mine was pretty good.  Had a bit of a melt down on Friday due to several personal issues but after talking most of it out, taking some time to myself, etc. I am feeling tons better.  My issues are a few different things tied in together that I am letting get the best of me, self esteem issues (related to my depression), exhaustion (haven't been taking care of myself enough), feeling overwhelmed (work & home are crazy, I need to learn to say no & ask for help) and I am attempting to quit smoking.  I have not had a cigarette since last  Tuesday night, almost a week now.  So now that I see I am putting on some pounds again (176.8 on my weigh in today), I really need to get working on fixing that.  Going to try to put in a game plan for this week.

Had a great weekend.  Friday night was the homecoming football game, we left at half time due to the cold & rain.  Saturday hubby and I were off to my family reunion, it has been years since I have seen a lot of those people and it was so enjoyable.  We came home & hosted a small dinner party for the oldest & a few friends before the dance, what fun that was.  In the middle of that my nephew called wanting to spend  the night so my sister brought him over.  Due to rain & cold soccer was cancelled yesterday so we took the opportunity to do a few little things around the house & be lazy.  Today is supposed to be my day off but I do need to go in for a few hours for a meeting & training but I should be home by noon and have a small list of to do's for myself.  Have a great one.

Cuppas - working on it now
Protein - for the car ride
B  - not sure yet, probably yogurt & bagel
S - apple
L - leftovers
S - not sure
D - stuffed peppers

Hi there!!  I am sorry you are going through a lot.  I am relate to what you are going through 100%.

I have had about a 5lb lost since last week.  But not a good loss.  I have been having issues with my ulcer and having trouble eating and drinking.  I found myself in the ER Friday night.  I think it is flaring up really bad from all the stress I have been under.  Then my nephew was sick Friday and I got the virus he has and got sick Saturday.  Of course I didn't get to rest as I have a house I have to get ready to move into next week and take care of a house I am living in now even though I have three additnal people living here, two of them being grown adults...

Getting ready for work right now...don't know what is on the menu.  I was finally able to eat last night and had some chicken noodle soup and crakers with peanutbutter.  I am trying to push liquids as much as I can right now with the pwerade zero.  Hopefully it will not hurt like it has been when I drink.

I am sorry you are having so many issues Courtney - you have too much on your plate right now but it is hard to destress!

This weekend my other half too me away for the weekend (as a surprise ) to West Virginia and a hotel called the Greenbriars - it was just fabulous!  The hotel is really famous and many presidents have stayed there so it was huge and historic and they had a casino that had just been open 17 days - so we left them some of your money too!!! The food was really good and I stuck to my eating plan except at breakfast where I did not go crazy but ate some oatmeal on top of some omelet and sausage and was so stuffed I was really uncomfortable - and I should know better!! We had worked out at their health center in the morning so I let myself get too hungry......

So back to a more structured eating today....

Protein shake In a few minutes
B  - boiled egg and cottage cheese
S - shake
L - ham and cheese omelet
S - celery and peanut butter
D - grilled lamb chop and steamed mixed veg
Bedtime snack -  if I am still hungry - s/f Carmel mousse or a protein shake

We all know planning is important so we need to make sure we plan out food at least a day ahead - otherwise there will be nothing prepared and we will snack on something we should not. or make a choice that is not the wisest.....

Hope you all have a great day!

Jackie

Good am! We all have our moments where we have to regroup & take care of ourselves. Saying no & asking for help is an ongoing lesson for me. I'm VERY proud of you for trying to quit smoking! Remember to take each day as it comes & remember who & what you can control. That is YOU!

Our weekend was great! We had friends come in from out of town & we really enjoyed our time together. The weather wasn't as cooperative. Still, we were able to get out and about & enjoy a Harvest Festival & a nice breakfast Sun am. I'm VERY proud of Kayla. Last pm she took on a speaking role in a Christmas play in which we'll be practicing for. :)

Today is jam packed & I'm not really feeling my best. I am taking each thing as it comes my way. Thankfully The Sunshine Fairy is making her presence known so I'll be able to relish in that as well.

Nutrition
Meds, cuppas & vits down
B - parmesan cheese omelet
S - protein drink
L - undecided
S - protein drink
D - soup possibly

All best!

Courtney, I am sorry you are having a hard time.  Just take it one day at a time.  I am new to weight loss surgery but not new to life, and I know it can get you down sometimes.  I am not a smoker but I have watched loved ones struggle to stop smoking and I know it is not easy.  So give yourself credit for not smoking and be easy on yourself.  It sounds like your dealing with a lot right now,  Like I said, one day at a time and be kind to yourself.
