I feel like I have graduated even though it has been less that six weeks.  I meet with my nut. this morning and can now start solid foods. one more step in my life long journey.

Yay!  Just remember to take it slow and chew, chew, chew!  Something may agree today and not tomorrow...just take it easy.  It's trial and error.

Woooo Hooooo!! Tammy is right though - take it easy and don't go wild  - you may not realise when you are full yet - and chew really well and eat very slowly - if you don't you will soon know and it will scare you off of solids for a while!

You are doing great!! One more step in this road!

Great news!  It is exciting to start the next step.  As teh others mentioned, slow is good.  Your nerves may still be healing so you might not get the full sensation completely.  Some people end up with weird signs after surgery that they are full.  Some people sneeze when they are full, some belch (I am a belcher), some feel it but it is up higher towards your throat.  Definitely watch your body signals.  :)

Just saw your post and if you are like me then you are having head hunger.  I had to force myself to eat for 15 months and even now still sometimes.  Remember to take this time to learn to eat properly!  Congrats on making it this far.
