One Year Post op...

So I know I'm not here very much, but I do read posts and try to keep up with everything going on. The problem is I lost 120 pounds and I got a life!!! Okay it's not so much a problem really!

I started working before the end of last year and that helped with my weightloss. Then in August I started college for the first time at 31 years old. I'm thrilled! I'm living my life to the fullest!

I'd love to give an update on my bloodwork and a 1 year checkup, but I'm a Portsmouth Naval Hospital patient and I called 2 weeks ago to get an appointment. I even got her to call me back last week to verify my informtaion. she said she'd call me back when she got my Dr's schedule for the month...I'm still waiting...GRRR

For those still looking into the surgery or waiting for your turn...I don't regret it even one bit. I feel so much healthier. I'm strict about getting in my vitamins and calcium citrate and also my protein...it's extremely important!

I went to disney world this past summer and instead of spending my time waiting for my family to finish riding the rides I was the one pulling my hubby and 3 kids around the park...I had SOOOOO much more energy. I really had no idea how sick I was (for not being sick at all...no comorbidities).

Anyway just a quick update on me :)

Excellent recap.  Thanks for taking the time to post and share your results and experience with us on the boards.  Congrads on starting college too,...big hurdle I'm sure.  I didn't go til I was 23 and got the old man jokes then.  You got guts kiddo..  More power to you.  Keep pulling that family around.  They will thank you for gettting/keeping them more active.  Should we start calling you Sparky???

Christy congrats on your hard work!  You are doing great!  And congrats on being back in school.  It is the best gift to give yourself and so rewarding.  I am about 3/4 done with my MBA and I remember receiving my BBA, it was phenomenal.
