So I'm exercising everyday, trying to take my meds, and I thought I was getting better. Now all the sudden starting yesterday I throw up EVERY time I eat...most of the time I have to make myself to feel better. I know I'm eating the right things, and slowly so its not that. Don't know if anyone has anything advise or input:) Oh and I didn't pass the PT part of my exam so trying again next month. I want to be a police officer so bad and before this weight loss, I never thought this would even be a remote possibility.

Hi, Rebekah:

First of all, I am sorry you didn't pass the PT the first time around, but don't get discouraged.  My guess is that many don't...just keep trying until you do!  Think of how far you have come to even get to the point where you are able to try!  :)

As far as the throwing up:  I suggest you check with your surgeon.  It could be something as simple as a stomach bug, but you are better off finding out from him.  What came to mind when reading it is that it could also be a stricture, but I am not a doctor, don't pretend to be (!!), so I would recommend calling and making an appointment.

Please let us know how you're doing.

Thank you so much! Yeah im calling the Dr today to try to get an appointment in. Hopefully I can this month because after this month my insurance runs out, and theres no way I can pay cash for a specialist:) I was able to eat last night without any nausea, thank goodness.

Any news from the surgeon?  I thought of two things, both of which I have/do suffer from...sinus drainage and stricture.  Hope you are feeling better soon and keep trying for the PT part...you CAN do it!

I agree that if it keeps up, especially if you have problems getting fluids in, to see the dr.  It could be a stricture.  Also sometimes our pouches just change what they do and don't like.  You mentioned that you were eating the right things & slowly so I know you are following the guidelines, could just be that your pouch doesn't like what you are having anymore.  Sometimes that happens.

Chin up and get  back on that horse for the PT part of the exam.  :)  Any update on what the doctor had to say yesterday?  I agree with Cindy, stricture was the first thing I thought of.  But since I have never had one, I've only read about the possibilities here on OH.  GOOD LUCK and let us know if you are feeling any better and able to keep anything down.

Rebekah, I agree with he others as I have not had the surgery but I do know what a stricture is and how bad it can be. Please go and see a doctor I waited until I could not keep liquids down and they found a stricture and ulcer and hernia so please go.

Hi Rebekah!  Everyone's given you great advice so I will address your other concern.  I was a police officer back in the stone age & if it makes you feel any better, I didn't pass my PT test on the first go-around either.  So just sign up for the next test & train your little butt off!!  You have to be so proud of your accomplishments!!!  It IS a possibility now...you go for it!!!

Hugs!
Ann
