bilirubin

I received a call from my surgeons office concerning the lab work last week. All my numbers looked good except my bilirubbin levels are continuously rising. I have to see my primary care dr on Monday for this. She is sending the results to him.

Does anyone have experience with this? I searched the internet and it could be several things, but I think it may be my gallbladder. I know gallbladder problems are common with extreme weight loss.

Thanks, Penny

Not sure, but wanted to wish you the best of luck.  I had my gall bladder out last september (6 months after RNY).  lys

Not sure either but sending prayers!  Please update when you can.  I had my gallbladder taken out at the time of my RNY.

Sorry not much help here either considering the first time I ever heard anything about bilirubbin was when my daughter was born and had blood work done to check her levels...

Hope everything works out for you!  Please let us know what you find out.
