The only thing that changed for me was the width.  Before surgery, wide width fit better but now I can't wear wide width in any kind of shoe.  Still in a 7 1/2 or an 8 depending on the kind of shoe and how it's made.

All of this is very interesting! I am just a few weeks post-op, so I cant say my shoe size had not changed at all. I wear a 9W. It will be interesting to see were my shoe size goes. I was wearing a 9WW before surgery due to fluild retention.Dana

I used to wear a size 8.5 or 9 wide shoe (only the 9 for the wideness).  I'm not able to do a 8 or 8.5 regular.  So if you have fat little piggies like I do, yes there could be a shoe size difference.  Our feet carry a bit of fat also.  :)  Hopefully you had skinny piggies and won't see much of a change so you will still be able to wear your shoe collection!
