Ok so this may sound silly....but i love shoes and there is a big sale going on at the navy exchange (military store). I was just about to leave the house to buy some shoes......lol....when my phone rang. It was a friend of mine that had the bypass. To make a long story short she told me not to buy any because your foot size changes sfter the surgery.

Is this really true? i love all my shoes lol and that will suck . But hey after i reach my goal i get to buy all new ones. So for all of you nice folks who has had wls . I am doing the bypass.

What size shoes did you wear before wls, and what size shoes do you wear now?

thanks danie

Melissa  I thought I wore the only size 12s in the state.  They sure are hard to come by.  Wearing a 10-11 would be heavenly.

Hehehe.  Nope you are not.  I had to order from catalogs in order to get shoes in my size.  I have even thought about going to Drag Queen Stores in DC to find some nice shoes.  I love my size better.  It is more eaiser to find nice shoes in my size.  Still hard, but so much eaiser.  My oldest daughter is only 9 and she is about 5'5.  She wears a size 9 1/2 shoe.

It is a crazy concept, but is it ever true... I was in a 9.5 before WLS and then was in a 7.5 or 8 after, got preg and went up to a 9 and am now back to 7.5 or 8....  I swear I must have enough shoes to open my own second hand store :)

Not only will your size change, but the way your fit foots in them changes. I had to chuck a pair of running shoes b/c they were hurting my feet too much. They were shaped to my fat feet.

I had weight loss surgery. I did it the easy way.

I went from a 8 - 8 1/2 wide to 7 - 7 1/2 wide.
