I got a date!

Hi guys.

Ok, I know. I'm a loser. Everything in this post is going to point to what a loser I am But I'm cool with that, so you can be too.

First of all, I know that I never post anymore. There are a million reasons for that and I'm sorry. I know that it's lame-o of me to come and randomly post this out of the blue. Don't feel like you have to respond - I'll tell you why I'm doing it.

When I first started coming on these boards - well over a year ago now! - I would always see posts that said "I got a date!" For so long every time I saw one, I thought it meant that someone was going out on a date. It's completely embarrassing how many of those posts I read before I realized that they meant someone had a surgery date scheduled.

So I made it one of my goals - if I get through this surgery thing and anyone ever decides they want to take me out on a date, I'm making a post with the subject "I got a date!" and making it about going out on a date. It's just one of those things, you know? (Here's something that I can admit only because we're on the computer and I don't have to look at you when I admit it - I haven't been on a date since high school. And I'm 31 years old. Yeah. It's bad) So I had to come back and post it - for me because I've been waiting a long time!

So this weekend I actually have 2 dates with 2 different guys that I met online....I'm completely terrified because I don't have the first idea how to act on a date, but I figure you've got to start somewhere, right?

Thanks for letting me do this - accomplishing one of my post-WLS goals with this post! I think you're all amazing.

Sarah, I didn't even recongnize you. Please let us know how you are doing. You look beautiful.

And now...since you have made this post....you have to share all the juicy details. We'll be looking for an update on Monday.

Sarah you are looking great!!!  Congrats on your success so far.  As for those dates, just be you, have some conversation and enjoy yourself.  Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Hi  I'm fairly new to this board so you don't know me, but I just wanted to take a second to echo what the others have said ~ just be yourself.  Don't ever change who you are for someone else.  Have fun and please be safe.  I met my previous husband on line so I know these things do work out.  Just be sure you meet in a public place and don't reveal too much personal info about yourself right off.   O.k., I'll shut up now as I've probably overstepped my bounds by preaching to you!!  Sorry about that.  Let us know how it goes and again, HAVE FUN!!!!!!

LOL  You make me giggle!  I saw "I got a date" and thought it was you.  But then had to open to be sure, then thinking threre must be ANOTHER skinny Sarah N.  LOLOL  ;)

You look great Sarah I didn't recognize you at first till I saw your eyes. They are so beautiful and so are you. You'll do great on your dates it will come naturally. My niece met her man online then married him a year later that was 5 years ago and they are so much in love.

I met my current husband online we have been together since 2003 and got married in 2006. yes you can find love on the internet..lol
