5 days post op and worried

I had RNY on Thurs May 28 and today started feeling worried. I'm not sure why, I have had a pretty easy recovery compared to some that I have heard about. I was up walking around in the hospital. One night I was sitting in the chair talking on the phone and I had a nurse come in after shift change and she looked at the bed and saw it empty and saw the bathroom door closed and asked me if "she" was in the bathroom. I said "who", she replied, "the patient"...I started laughing and told her I was the patient. so I must have looked like I was doing well. But for some reason today I have started worrying about complications, like leaks. Is this normal?

I too worried afterwards, for months. I think you are completely normal. Just be appreciative of the easy time you have had. Everything will be okay.

Worry is normal. Try not to let it overwhelm you and just pay attention to your body.

Don't put the cart before the horse.  You body will alert you if something is wrong.  Sounds like you are doing great!!  Focus on getting in your liquids and protein and I'm sure you will be fine!!

I worried too.  I think it's just natural.  Hang in there and try to keep anxiety at bay and get used to the new healthier you.  This journey is so much fun!  :)

I agree with the other post I was worried up till I was 6 months out, and I have to be honest I still worry sometimes when I eat something that I shouldn't. Good luck in your weight loss and looking for alot of wow moments which are coming for you.
