Seroquelcan cause you to gain weight. Unlike some of the other meds out there that have a 5-7 one time weight gain, seroquel can add weight on an on going thing. I thought it did, but I double checked with my psychiatrist who just happens to be a psychopharmacologist , who has done clinical trials with seraquel, and confirmed that it can cause weight gain, and that it sometimes the second reason people don't want to take it. I hope this helped.
Thank you for this infomation. Are you on this medicine now? And if you are how are you dealing with the weight gain? I have gained 45 pounds and very upset about it. The medicine is working so good that I am scared to get off of it. But i also dont want to gain the weight back. I am going to the gym and or I am walking at work. I just dont want to go back to the 248 punds again. :(
