Daily Inspiration: Be patient.
Be patient.
We've all dreamt about "The Day"--the glorious morning when we step on the scale and that magic number blinks into view. And having WLS was a BIG, exciting step toward that goal.
But eventually, the novelty wore off, right? And as you settled into your daily routine, your journey began to seem tedious. Perhaps your weight loss slowed or you hit a plateau. If depression and despair threaten your goals, remember that patience is the key.
Action for the day: Parenting, like other life journeys, is often described as a "marathon" rather than a "sprint." Today, have a mini-marathon of your own. Take a walk around the neighborhood, but instead of turning it into a workout, force yourself to slow down and enjoy the outdoors. And if there happen to be roses along your path, be sure to take a whiff.

So I run like a Girl....now keep up!
Jill, I agree with this 100% I have been pretty lucky in not having to long of a stall. And now that I am further out and closer to goal the wieght loss has slowed down. I keep in mind that this is a journey and not a instant gradification. It is imparitavie to establish your good habits early out so you can coninue them through your life. If I do find myself in a longer stall, I always to a step back and just evaluate what I am doing and see if there are any changes tor corrections that can be made that would be positive.
