Well my day off was really nice.  I got everything on my list accomplished with a few extras.  I surprised my mom at work with a little bouquet of flowers, just because I can.  We ended up having a family conversation that included the girlies mom so that they could get their feelings out.  I was so proud of my girls, they were honest and kept their emotions in check.  Not sure their mom was too happy with what she heard but I think it was a good idea to do.  A friend came by in the evening and we ended up sitting out on the porch with some coffee, watching the rain and talking for a couple of hours.  What a nice way to finish up the day.

Not much planned for today.  Work and then home for a quiet evening.  I do need to get to the library for a new stash of books but that is about all.  Hope you all have a great one!

Yesterday was an ok day. I went to the drs. for my eye and they sent me to an eye dr. where he removed a chip of wood from my right eye. It sure felt good when it was out. A bit sore but should be ok.  Did some lanundry and some cleaning.
This morning I am taking the girls to school then hubby and I will be leaving for York, Pa. for a few days then on Thursday we will be heading out to western Pa.
I hope you have a great day, and I hope you get to the library to get some more books.

Sounds like you had a nice day yesterday.  I miss being able to just pop in and see my parents.

Today is going to involve exercising, errands, yard work (as long as the weather holds), touch up painting and computer work.

Have a good one!  :)

First of all, thank you Cindy for taking over the "What are you thankful for" thread while I was gone.  I wish more peeps would respond, but a few is better than none.

The weekend was awesome but I must have used up all my reserve energy cuz I slept the entire day yesterday.

I am sooooo tickled with Cutter, our youngster horse.  Mike has had terrible trouble trying to get him to load onto the trailer.  Well, Friday morning I loaded him with absolutely no problem whatsoever!!  After 8 hours on the trailer, he was only too happy to unload when we got to Ohio.  Then Sunday afternoon, I loaded him again....no problems.  This time Dennis was there to see me do it...he was quite impressed.  So now I'm all full of myself...LOL!  Poor Mike!

Not much on the books  other than lunch with Lisa.  And I have no idea what to make for dinner so that will be a surprise...lol.  Maybe 'sgetti...sauce only, for me.

Cya'll tomorrow!

Hugs!
Ann

That is a nice way to end the day!  As for me,  went to dinner with friends last night.   This morning had to go do lab work for a dr. appt I have next week.  Then some grocery shopping and picked up some more vitamins.  Rest of the day waiting for the UPS man and hanging at home!

Good afternoon everyone. Monday was an ok day for me. It was a week since my heart surgery and I'd like to think that I am progressing along as good if not better than I should be. Moving is difficult and sleeping is much more difficult but... I will muddle through this as best I can. At least, now, I have a non broken heart!!!

I didn't do much. Not being able to drive, or lift, push or pull anything over 5 lbs makes it hard. I did get up and cook my own lunch and go for 3 10 min walks, which is the limit for me for the next few weeks.

Today, much of the same. I will go outside and sit with Cameron, watching him play, and going for my walks. I'm looking forward to when my rehab and therapy starts!

Sounds like everyone is having a great beginning of the week.

Theresa, glad to here that you are getting day by day. Little walks add up so do not feel bad about going on 10 minute walks. That is better then none at all. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Pat. It's funny. Here I sit, thinking back and realizing that I, Theresa, just went through open heart surgery, and I survived the surgery and am not making it through the recovery. I realize that it is hard, harder than anything I've ever had to do but it is not impossible for me, as I had thought since I found out that I had to have it done.

I walk around the house alot, use the stairs for a bit of exercising too but am honestly doing too much from what I'm told so I will have to spread it out through the day.

Thanks for all the encouragement, kind words and prayers. They mean alot.

Just popping to say hi to everyone.
Today was busy with work from 9-5, then it was off for some dinner and a community band concert. The music was great and relaxing.
Now, home and checking things out before I head to bed.
Prayers to those who are struggling right now. Hope that the bumps will smooth out with time and faith.
In the morning I meet with a trainer to begin some upper body work. Off to bed for some rest.
Peace,
Cindy
