Thanks Courtney and the latest..
Thanks so much for letting everyone over here know what was going on.
It started as a mere yeast infection under both my breasts, which as most of us women know, can and does happen. I was given nystatin powder and thought no more of it. Last night, the left side had gotten conisberably better while the right side was extremely moist and smelly, even after several applications of the powder. I noticed skin was peeling and there were open sores.
I waited a few more hours and checked again and in a few hours, things had dramatially changed. I woke my mom up and we rushed to the emergency room. It seems as though the sores, are blisters and are coming from the yeast infections which are leading to secondary infections and thus resulting in pus filled sores and peeling skin. I have to monitor them, using the new meds and if there is no improvement by Monday morning, I am to call the surgeons office in the am and if they can't see me, then I am to go the emergency room.
I am using the meds, changing the bandages and trying to keep the area dry but most important... Praying that this doesn't escalate into anything more severe. I am really not wanting to go back to the hospital, except well maybe for a visit and my follow ups.
Thanks again for posting this Courtney. Thanks to all that have been and are continuing to pray for me and my recovery.
