What are you thankful for today-Monday?
I'm sorry to hear about your sister, Ann. I will keep her and you in my prayers. My ex-husband battled colon and rectal cancer and unfortunately, he didn't go to the doctor until it was in Stage 4. He lost his battle earlier this year. He was only 42. Cancer sucks!!
I am thankful that I've had the pleasure of raising one of the best kids ever for the past 16 years. Yesterday was his birthday and we had a great family dinner and celebration.

What an interesting route today's posts have gone. Kinda puts things into perspective, though, doesn't it? There but for the grace of God, go I. Yes, Cyndi IS an inspiration to me. I wish she would be more agressive with the way she oversees her treatments, but I know she's not going to, which makes me crazy. Aside from that, she is managing to juggle quite a lot on her plate.
I'm NOT thankful for anyone with cancer...I AM grateful that they find the strength to put up a good fight. And I think we, as their family & friends, add to that strength just by way of loving them, supporting them, & helping them as much as we can or as much as they will let us. Sometimes the hardest part for us, is knowing when to back down & allow them some dignity to make their own choices, even if we don't agree. Something I struggle with in dealing with Cyndi's situation. But I HAVE to respect her.
