Hi Melissa N. I got what you are saying, I think I read it wrong the first time or was just thinking to much of my own son.. Anyways, YES what he has is 80% curable/treatable. He is doing awesome! We have chemo this coming Tuesday and it normally doesn't make him feel to bad afterwards. However he starts his steroids the following day for a week..So I will have an 8 yr old preg. eater for about 2 weeks.LOL! He can be rather comical too!!

I do not think you read it wrong. I think you made a valid conclusion to my original post, and I thank you for posting what you did.

I am glad that the Lukemia you son has is highly treatable.  I am so sorry he has to go through this.  I can only imagine how hard it is to see your child go through something like this.  I will keep you son in my prayers.  He sounds like an extremly strong young man.

:(  I feel your pain.  Parents need to be SO careful to instill good eating habits and portion control.  This child is going to struggle when he gets older because he thinks what he is doing is right.  :(
