Sorry it has taken me so long to update about my EDG.I tend to be super sensitive to sedation so I came home and napped, a really Long nap. Well It went well they dilated me to 12 mm, and it seems to have worked nicely. I was able to ge****er down in recovery. When I got home I was able to get a bit of egg drop soup down. I can't tell you how nice it was to get the water and the soup to go down and then stay down. I did get chewed out by Dr Moazzez yesterday when I went to see him, that I waited to long to come see him.i can honestly say that I never did think it was stricture, because I had heard that some days the pouch may not like something it like yesterday, that what I really thought it was at first, but when it got painful really painful when I would drink water I knew something was wrong. I know next time when something doesn't seem right I need to call Pam and ask her opinion and or get to see Dr Mo. I will never wait this long and put myself through this much pain. I have a HIGH threshold for pain. After surgery I stop my PCA morphine 12 hrs after surgery and in those 12 hours used it 3 times...So I have to remind myself, that just cause I deal with the pain doesn't mean I'm OK.

So I have rattled on ...and I said it was a quick update...Please forgive my run on and on.

I have decided that from now on, on my post I am going to say one thing I am grateful since having RNY, and each one has to be different. So here is my first:
I am grateful for the love and support that I have gained since going OH and the VA board.

Good am Heide,

Absolutely call asap next time. We can become dehydrated quite fast. I'm glad things went well & your feeling better. No need to apologize. That's what we're here for doll. Love that you are grateful for your surgery in spite of a few snags. :)

All best!

WOW Heide.  I am glad they found the problem and have done something fix it.  Will you have to go back in agian?  I heard the stricutre can take a couple of times of stretching before it is resolved.  I am glad you were able to get some food down!!

Good to hear that things are better for you.  I like your idea of expressing gratitude about one new thing each day.

Thanks to Ann, for stirring things up.  VA board is begining to feel like before again.
