The purpose that this will serve will be to keep us all on the VA Board and to keep us all on track.  They do it on the main forum and it is very helpful.

I will go first:

B - Skinny Cinnamon/Vanilla Latte - sugar free syrup, nonfat milk
S - Kroger Carbmaster Yogurt with 1/2 cup Kashi Cereal
L - 3 shrimp, 1 oz. chicken breast,  some steak (all on top of a salad) but just ate the protein

Don't know what I will have for dinner yet, probably chicken breast and some broccoli

How are ya'll doin?

I like this thread, Nancy.  And I would add one more part to this...have you taken your meds today?  I say this because I have a confession to make & as we all know, confession is good for the soul.  Not to mention, you all will kick my bootie when needed.

I have NOT been taking my meds for, oh, I'd say the last couple of weeks.  Until a few minutes ago I wasn't sure WHY I stopped taking them.  But thanks to a couple of amazing women in my life, some light was shed on it.  At any rate, I need to be made accountable for the meds too.

B  4 oz of Fiber One cereal, 3 oz of 1% milk
L 4 oz of chicken tenders, baked, with 2 tbsp of Heinz 57
D will be 4 oz of baked ham, 2 oz mashed sweet potatoe & 2 oz of low-cal canned mixed fruit.

I just this very moment took my heart med, bp med, & cholesterol med.

Ok, who's next?

Hugs!
Ann

Yea some of us will get after you like me. Please remember to take your meds. They are very important that you remember them everyday. I love you like a sister and that is the only reason that I am jumping you this time. The same goes for me but knock on wood I am remembering them now.

Med:  I have one more vit to go....

Today I have not been the Best RNY patient.  That is OK though.  I take from what I have done and learn.

Pre Pre Break fast= Coffee w/vanilla soy milk
Pre breakfast= AcheivOne with 6 oz of soymilk
Breakfast= Soygen soychips with Smart choice PB
Unplanned snack= some more of those yummy soygen chips (one to many)
Lunch= Choboni yogurt with kashi go lean
Dinner=polish sausage and a little bit of my salad.

So for me to many carbs today.  But I am OK with it.  Not the best choices (damn soy chips) but I am aware of what I did and what I need to do.

I am so glad to see this post.   I always wondered what a typical day of meals was like.   They gave me  example menu plan at the hospital, but it didn't see very typical.

Took half my viatimins, taking the rest with lunch.

I'm still on puree so:
Breakfast: 1/2 myoplex choc. fudge protien shake
snack 1: 2% cottage cheese - pureed
lunch: cream chicken soup w/ added protien powder
snack 2: mix 1 protien shake (a little heavy on sugar - but this is early on for me, and I am a bandster)
Dinner: pureed beans and chicken

Thanks for the post,
