Whatcha Eatin Today? - Let's Do This Everyday
The purpose that this will serve will be to keep us all on the VA Board and to keep us all on track. They do it on the main forum and it is very helpful.
I will go first:
B - Skinny Cinnamon/Vanilla Latte - sugar free syrup, nonfat milk
S - Kroger Carbmaster Yogurt with 1/2 cup Kashi Cereal
L - 3 shrimp, 1 oz. chicken breast, some steak (all on top of a salad) but just ate the protein
Don't know what I will have for dinner yet, probably chicken breast and some broccoli
How are ya'll doin?
I have NOT been taking my meds for, oh, I'd say the last couple of weeks. Until a few minutes ago I wasn't sure WHY I stopped taking them. But thanks to a couple of amazing women in my life, some light was shed on it. At any rate, I need to be made accountable for the meds too.
B 4 oz of Fiber One cereal, 3 oz of 1% milk
L 4 oz of chicken tenders, baked, with 2 tbsp of Heinz 57
D will be 4 oz of baked ham, 2 oz mashed sweet potatoe & 2 oz of low-cal canned mixed fruit.
I just this very moment took my heart med, bp med, & cholesterol med.
Ok, who's next?
B Unjury chocolate protein shake
L 1/2 c soup, few bites of salad, 1/2 cheese quesadilla
S Muscle milk light chocolate RTD shake
D Chobani yogurt with berries and Go Lean cereal
S TBD
Pushing my decaf iced tea to get in all of my fluids for the day.
Exercise: today was my day off...back at it bright and early tomorrow morning!
B - 2 babybell cheese circles with balsamic vinegar
S - Isopure Protein Drink - Couple bites of fish from Costco Sample
L - 2 oz Shrimp Salad
Taken morning vitamins and several of my calcium
I still need to drink another protein drink and figure out dinner - somehow the day is getting away from me!
Michelle
Today I have not been the Best RNY patient. That is OK though. I take from what I have done and learn.
Pre Pre Break fast= Coffee w/vanilla soy milk
Pre breakfast= AcheivOne with 6 oz of soymilk
Breakfast= Soygen soychips with Smart choice PB
Unplanned snack= some more of those yummy soygen chips (one to many)
Lunch= Choboni yogurt with kashi go lean
Dinner=polish sausage and a little bit of my salad.
So for me to many carbs today. But I am OK with it. Not the best choices (damn soy chips) but I am aware of what I did and what I need to do.
I am so glad to see this post. I always wondered what a typical day of meals was like. They gave me example menu plan at the hospital, but it didn't see very typical.
Took half my viatimins, taking the rest with lunch.
I'm still on puree so:
Breakfast: 1/2 myoplex choc. fudge protien shake
snack 1: 2% cottage cheese - pureed
lunch: cream chicken soup w/ added protien powder
snack 2: mix 1 protien shake (a little heavy on sugar - but this is early on for me, and I am a bandster)
Dinner: pureed beans and chicken
Thanks for the post,
For Friday
B - Half of Banana with tablespoon of peanut butter
S - Isopure Protein Drink with Calcium Powder Added
L - 2 oz of Chicken Salad with 2 crackers
S - Probably another Isopure - Will be so glad when my Vitamix is fixed and I can make my green protein smoothies again
D - ?? - Probably Chicken and Dumplings - although I won't each the dumplings - just the chicken and vegtables.
All morning vitamins and supps taken - 32oz of my liquid done and I'm over 50 protein already today!
