Dear Lisa, I have read your this post and many before this one with much awe.  Your courage, determination and perseverance have finally paid off.  You and your family deserve nothing but the best.

Your post has made me look at myself and my options for surgery in a new light.

Wishing you continued success.

Lisa, I'm so happy to hear that things are going better for you. Your outlook has appeared to have done a complete turnaround, and I think that's absolutely fantastic.

Here's something strange about Dr. M that I thought I'd share with you. It was probably a year and a half ago, maybe two years ago... and I had a fall follow up. I know this because he asked me if I liked football, and then proceeded to tell me that he'd seen Joe Gibbs at the Reston Starbucks, and that he was considering going back to there to stake it out and stalk him. Because it was Dr. M, it was only slightly creepy. Really, it made me kind of laugh, because I could then picture him getting all riled up at sports on Sundays.

Anyway, glad to hear things are going your way. Things will only get better from here! :)

The tough part of WLS is not the first year, it's those that follow.
