Fiber Question
Nate picked up some fiber and was asking me about it. I thought I remembered that there are forms of fiber that can make you dependant on them (to poop) to stay away from. Can anyone give me information of safe fiber that will help get the system moving.
He ended up purchasing this, but I'm not sure what the heck it is!?

I do not know much about fiber. Never had that kind of issues.
My husband's doctor suggests Psylliam Husk He has a super slow system. It is a natural fiber. Take a small bit a a time. It can be intense until your system gets used to it. Increase to the daily recommendation as his body gets used to it.

Don't know too much to be able to answer your question but I do know that there are so many fiber options that we can add to our diet. If this is for Nate he could always to the same thing. Broccoli, cauliflower, peas, bananas, whole grains, are always good sources of fiber. Another thing that will help is Vitamin C. This is something my pediatrician had told my mother when I was younger and having problems. Take regular doses every day and it should help. I actually take a type of iron that has vitamin c in it (Vitron C) as recommended by my nut. Never had any constipation issues.
