Norfolk/VB support groups?

Hi,

anyone know of a decent support group early eve or wknd in Norfolk or VB?

I am nearly 4 yrs out, but lately....... its just not easy. Moved here in May. Need help desp.

PM or post.... dont want to get into any real details on here, but... I need to find a group.

Hey Jill! You know I am not in your area but I am always here for you. I am starting a maintance group in the Richmond area as soon as I can get stable after giving birth. It will be strictly for 2 or more years post op. We will also be traveling some to other areas on weekends to allow other areas to join us, Now...you know how to reach me...anytime!

I will be headed down to the beach way sometime while I am on Maternity leave. I will be doing a luncheon in Williamsburg and we go to Busch Gardens almost every weekend. We WILL meet soon and you have my number if you want to call!

Hello Jill, my name is Kamesha and I see that you are interested in finding a support group. Well I can definitely recommend you to the Navy Medical Center Portsmouth which is not located in neither Norfolk or Va. Beach but it is a really great support group with a wonderful bariatric team...... I mean the best!!!!!!!!!!!!So yes definitely come down. The next support group is being held on April 2nd, 2009 @ 7:00pm in the NMCP hosipital on base in Portsmouth. But if you have any questions or concerns you can always call the head bariatric nurse she is great and talk to her..her number is 757-953-2445 and her name is Mrs. Angela Boone and if she does not answer leave a message she is good with returning phone calls. Thanks Kamesha..... I dont even know where portsmouth is.... lol. I kind of do, but I have difficulty driving places... i have only lived here since may and barely know the area....get sort of freaked out.
i'll see what i can find out though.... and def will keep this in mind.

Well thats fine, If you have any questions please let me know. Portsmouth is literally right through the norfolk tunnel or either the mid-town tunnel. Like I said it is a really good support group. I know I have my surgery on the 26th of this month (yes thursday) I am pretty excited and nervous. So I would probably not be there on thursday the 2nd of April but definitely the next one which is the first thursday in May. You can feel free to call me. Have a nice day.

CONGRATS on your surgery! I'm so directionally challenged i get lost inside stores.... NO JOKE.. i got lost in a super walmart once......

I am happy for you about your surgery. thanks for the number i might take you up on it, My surgerversy (however you say it....) is May 9th.....
