carb addict
Hi ya Jeane! Everyone's given you some very good advice, so no need for me to ellaborate. I just wanted to say that I'm proud of you for coming here & feeling comfortable enough to fess up publicly. That takes courage. Accountability is another tool in our toolbox that can work wonders. For me, sometimes just seeing my pitfalls in writing, plus sharing them with folks here, makes it easier for me to push myself back on track. Now that you recognize what your problem is, & now that you are armed with good advice, the next step is implementing change. I know...easier said than done...but with self determination, a renewed committment to yourself, & encouragement from all of us, you will no doubt have success. You will have turned an uh-oh into a wow moment!!
You can do this, Jeane. I have no doubt.

One of the boggest factors for me in not wanting the carbs is making sure I have a good amount of protein (at least 15 grams) within one hour of wkaing up. It is important to jump start your metabolism in the mornings and this helps me a lot with any cravings. I have heard a lot of folks do this as well. the five day pouch test is awesome, too. Really a good cleansing!
