Prayers needed ASAP for our Ann--
Good morning everybody. Lisa, thanks for being my messenger. Cindy, I tried to call you back last night on your cell phone.
So, I'm still in hospital & still don't have any answers as to what's going on yet. What I DO know is that I'm going to be enduring a slew of tests today so hopefully by days end, I will know what's the what & what course of action we're gonna take.
I know ya'll are wanting to know what happened yesterday. Basically, my heart has decided to march to a different beat which ordinarily isn't out of the norm. Frequently throughout the day I will have skipped beats but it only last for a few seconds. However, yesterday, when it continued to skip beats every 6 or 7 beats, causing me to have difficulty breathing & feeling weak, & it kept doing so for more than 30 minutes, I decided it was time to call the doctor. Thanks to wonderful technology, my current defibrillator implant allows me to be wireless & I have a handy device that sits on my desk at home. Whenever I feel the need, I can press a button & it will interrogate my device right then & there & send the report to my doctor. So I did that first, & then placed the call. The cardiologist on call arranged for direct admit rather than go through all the ER crap (thus saving us an ER charge as well). We also decided to transport by ambulance so that I could be monitored & cared for enroute, rather than risking the possibility of me coding while Matt drives me to hospital. I really liked the ambulance ride better, & as it turned out, one of my buddies was my attending medic. I was glad he was there cuz even though I can put on my brave face for everyone else, I wasn't feeling so brave yesterday. Frankly, I've been pretty darned concerned.
Oooops, gotta go...time for one of those umpteen tests I mentioned. Thank you so much for the prayers & well wishes. I'm trying to be brave!

Thanks for the update and glad to know you are in good hands! I will keep the prayers coming. If you get this message...you may want to start a new thread. Not everyone goes back and reads others responses and I would hate for someone to miss your update. We are all so worried!
