Hi just got home and getting myself together and into a routine. I am doing better it is just going to take time. If anyone knows a good 200 diabetic diet please let me know. That is what I am to be on and I am going to look at some websites to find one that will work for me. I need to find one that will not be expensise to do. With being out of work right now money is going to be very tight. I will make it through this one way shape or form.
Thank you family for your prayers and throughts and they were appreciated. I will be around for a while.

Hey Pat! Glad you are home, recooperating and doing well. Did you mean a 2000 calorie Diabetic Diet? Before my RNY, I was on an 1800 calorie diet. It was set up through my nutrionist at my endocrinologist's office. Do you see a specialist for your Diabetes? If not, I'd be happy to recommend the one I see. His office is top notch!! And they have a nutritionist there that will get you all together.

Let me know if I can help. Glad to see you are feeling better!

Thank you Theresa and if you could pm the information I would appreciate it. Yes a 2000 calorie diabetic diet although that is hard for me when I can hardly get 1800 calories in.

Hi, I know you are glad to be home.  You may find that your diabetes will go into remission soon.  I left the hospital and have not had to use any diabetic meds or insulin ever again.  My A1C totals have been normal since the surgery, I actually have times where my sugar is too low.  I did not have a specific diet to follow for diabetes, I just followed the program that my bariatric surgeon gave me.  I wish you the very best and my prayers continue to be with you.  Sherry

Thank you Sherry and you know I wish I could find a way of getting the surgery but I do not think that is possible so I will have to do this on my own. I would love for my diabetes to go into remission and just stay away.

Thank you Penny and as each day goes by I am getting better. I want to do the right thing and am trying right now and it seems a long road ahead of me but you know I will make it.
