**UPDATE FRI***Mama - (Pat - Kat's Mom)
Last pm we visited Mom. It happened that my sister, our dad & I were there at the same time. In the later pm my sister & I talked extensively with Mom's docs. Its confirmed Mom has had a mini stroke. At this point, her doc has indicated that she needs to see this as a sign of things to come if she doesn't begin to absorb that she's got to take better care of herself. There are some other underlying issues which are being addressed. This am she is to have a heart test done to check for blockages there as well. we are optimistic yet stand guarded until we meet with the docs and set Mom in motion with some specific treatments and put her in touch with docs outside the hospital to help. What I can say at this point is I pray that has been a wake up call. Not just for Mom either. Please keep praying. Mom needs support. Thanks.

I am posting for my Mom (Pat aka Kat's Mom).
On Tues I rang 911 for an ambulance to take her to the ER which shortly following she was admitted to the hospital for possible stroke. She's had some paralysis although we have not confirmed how much, how long it may last, etc.
At this point, we still have many questions with slow coming answers. She's had a gambit of tests done and we're beginning to learn more about what's happening with her. The docs are working on ruling out things while having indicated some issues that we are addressing, treating & coming up with a plan of action to tackle. Just a bit ago, we learned an MRI that was done last pm is "negative" however, the neurologist will not rule out a "mini stroke" and/or other questionable issues at this time.
We are asking for prayers for my mom. If anyone would like to send well wishes and/or talk with Mom please PM me & we'll talk offline.

Thank you and Steve for coming by it really did help and now to finish finding out what is going on and to get better and this is also giving some time to think and I want to get better and to live a long life. I am not going to give up like my dad did and will not let myself be a cripple because of this. I have to much to live for. I am feeling better this morning. I am using the hospital computer so that I can check on some things so I though I would stop by here for a minute.
