Ya'll are NOT gonna believe this!!

I just got off the phone with Ed, Lisa's husband.  At this moment she is in Winchester Medical Center's ER....SHE CRASHED THEIR CAR!!  I don't know what kind of injuries she might have but as soon as I know, I'll let ya'll know cuz I'm headed that way now.  All I could make out from Ed on her crappy cell phone was something about shooting from one side of the road to the other, side-swiping a tree, ending up in a ditch, & something about hitting the driver's side window.

HEY GOD!!  ARE YOU LISTENING UP THERE??  KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY!!!   THEY'VE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH!!!   SERIOUSLY!!

Oh my god.  This poor family can't catch a break.  I'm praying that she is safe Ann.

Ok, I just this very minute walked in the door.  After being in the ER for about 5 hours & xrays & CT Scan done, I'm happy to report that there are no broken bones, no lacerations, no contusions.  She does however have a minor concussion, fairly severe whiplash & her back is pretty severely shot...lots of soft tissue injury.  She is sooooo gonna hate life tomorrow, but for now she's on cloud nine thanks to major drugs.

We both pretty much went right into the comic relief that something like this will bring out.  Ya'll know how warped we both are, & besides, with all they've gone through so far, it's just much easier to laugh than to cry.  I've told both Lisa & Ed that they will NEVER drive my truck!  Ed says he gives up...he's just gonna get bicycles!!

In spite of our silliness, she really was trying very hard not to let her spirits go down, but with the aid of the medications they gave her for pain, it was just starting to show a little right before they discharged her.  Thank God so many of you have been so generous with donations...they really need it now with no vehicle at all.

I swear, maybe we need to do a special Mass or an exhorsism or something to lift the damned dark cloud of doom that seems to be hanging over this family.  I just don't know what to do.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

At any rate, I knew ya'll would be wanting to know how she was doing.  Now that you know, I'm going to lay down & nap for a good long while.  I'm feeling pretty misserable myself...apparently this stupid absess of mine isn't going to go away without a fight & the whole right side of my face looks like I swallowed a soft ball.  I'm on hold with the dentist as I'm typing this, so please, while you're sending up prayers for our sweet Lisa, would ya mind adding a couple for me too?

Things have just GOT to get better for ALL of us, right?  I'm very dissillusioned right now.

Thanks for the update, Ann and prayers will continue.  You might want to start a new thread on this.  This is info we all want to know but it might get buried!  Prayers for you, too.
