I can't believe it...
But alas, the deed is done. In the last two days, four comments were made to me - YES FOUR!
1. Vendor at work asked me "Soooo, when will you stop losing weight?"
2. Husband told me my veins in my neck are showing and that I need to eat a burger (this is his cute remark he makes to very skinny woman - he says they need to eat a burger)
3. A very hurtful comment was made about how I've changed from a family member. I'm not going to get into this one, other than it was VERY hurtful.
4. My mom told me I'm looking too bony in the neck and upper chest
Geez, who would have thought. This is just crazy....
I thought you would all get a giggle or have some insight on the best way to deal with comments like this.

I used to say that "until you have lived and walked in my shoes you really are not in a position to comment" . Last time I saw you Lauren you were looking fabulous!!! Dont let them get you down... you look beautiful and it is how you feel that counts....
Love ya!
Jackie
But I'm so proud of you - you've been amazing! I generally take everything people say - positive, negative, whatever - with a grain of salt. People have their own reasons for saying things, so I try not to get too caught up in what they have to say. (This is what I say - actually feeling that way is waaaay harder.) I would take it as a compliment. You're a superstar!
Lauren,
When you find that Easy Button, could you pass it my way?
How about some positive comments to offset the negative:
1. What an amazing accomplish you have a achieved. Did you know that you are many people's hero?
2. Did you know your neck is connect to your head. Has anyone told you that you have the most amazing hair. I love your picture with your beautiful flowing locks.
3. Did you know that this amazing accomplishment of yours may one day add a precious addition to that same family changing it forever.
4. One day you may be a mom, and you will get to snuggle that little one against that tiny neck and thin chest of yours.
You have been so amazing (how many times can I use that word in this post) to me. I have no idea how I will ever repay you.
