VA House for Sale by Maryland Lapbander
In case anyone's looking for a house to buy - my husband and I have listed ours with We Assist 2 Sell in Richmond. We have it listed at 114,950 - about 27,000 less than what the City assessed it for. We are trying to walk away from it because we have not been in Richmond for several years because our jobs have kept us in Maryland all this time. Now with the economic conditions as they are now - it's getting harder to maintain the mortgage and the rent in Maryland.
It's a wonderful Cape Cod located on a busy main street on a corner (perfect for those yard sales or putting out cars for sale) - 3 bedroom; 1 1/2 bathroom - and there's a "craft room" that counts as a 4th bedroom because it has a closet in it.
We put in new appliances and new linoleum and had plumbing repaired in the kitchen in 2003. The house sits on two lots that are combined for this sale - so it's a little over a third of an acre total. The house is approximately 1700 square feet.
There's also an outside building - some call it a cottage - I just call it a "screened in building" with electricity in it. There is a 2 car garage with an upstairs for storage. Two beautiful large Southern Magnolias shade the front of the house and on the side - there's a nice sized Holly tree. In the back is my favorite tree, the Japanese Red Maple. Gladioli, tulips and daffodils sprout up along the fence in the spring, and purple irises and tiger lilies sprout up along the "cottage". I've saved several silver maples to increase shade in the backyard eventually since they grow 2 - 3 feet a yaer.
We are letting furniture convey if the buyers wish to take the furniture - that includes the big 57" Hitachi tv in the big room, which is an HDTV.
