It's finally here!  Time for the weekend!

How was yout Thursday?  Anything special planned for today or the weekend?

Thursday was nice for us.  Work went well and then we had dinner when I got home.  I was tired and sluggish feeling so we just popped in a movie and watched it.  I did get two loads of laundry done...so I wasn't a total vegger!  Then I decided to take a bubbly bath (thanks for the idea, Courtney!) and really enjoyed the relaxing time there.  The warm water seemed to loosen up my back muscles a bit.  Then it was an early night to bed.  Nothing special but just what I needed.

As for today...I am trying to keep the books light.  I wor****il 5 then home.  I think I have one errand to do in Chesterfield.  I also have about three more loads of laundry and need to hit up the grocery store either tonight or tomorrow sometime.  Perhaps another movie night and certaintly to bed early.  I am sure I will be at least riding with Steve for work tonight/tomorrow AM in the wee hours.

Have a fabulous day!

Good morning all!  i had a great end to my Thursday....during the am and afternoon i moved my mother into a new assisted living facility...it went well, but mentally draining. what few words she did say were in German (Alzheimer's....).  Anyway, got through the am, and then my daughter and 2 friends have been working on a National History Day project for 5 LONG months (in my living room) and they won 2nd place and will be advancing to the regional competition in 2 weeks!  I'm glad they got 2nd, it shows the hard work DOES pay off in the long run!  i hope everyone has a great day, I'm over at a friends getting her kids off to school asher hubby is having knee surgery this am....i hope all goes well. confirmation club lock-in at church tonight, which we won't be staying for....winter swim meet sat and Sunday with warm up times at 6:20am...love to all..lys

Lys,

I am glad things went well for you with the move.  I was praying for you all day!  I knew it would be mentally draining at the very least!  Please wish SEB good luck from us at the meet and tell her how proud I am of her for the hard work and getting 2nd place.  I know how proud you are of her, too!  Have a fabulous weekend and let me know how the meet goes.

Good Morning Tammy.  I'm not usually up early enough to post to this, but today I was wide awake at 5am.  Retired people are suppost to sleep in .... We have been doing some renovations to our Virginia house, so yesterday a local NoVA company installed granite countertops in my kitchen.  I wasn't sure I would like the stone look, but it really looks great.  Today is clean up all the mess - granite dust over everything on the first floor from where they did the final polishing onsite.

I've been coming down your way Saturdays lately.  My husband's uncle passed away in early January and we have been helping to clean out his house.  A sad chore, but interesting too.  Lots of old family pictures and stuff to look through.  He lived off Hull Street in Chesterfield.

Have a great weekend all.

Good morning, Cathy!  Yep, retired people are supposed to sleep in but my dad doesn't, either!  He is up "with the chickens" every day.  Good luck with the renovations...I know the company is glad to have the work.  Steve has not worked in almost two weeks and before that he was only working 1/2 weeks.  He is in construction and right now there just isn't any work to be had around here.  Let me know if you want to take a break from sorting and such while you are down here...maybe we could meet for a luncheon.  I am sure there are a few folks in our area that would be interested.  I am about 25 minutes away from the area you mentioned.  Have a great day!

Good Morning!! Worked late last night (7p) and then had to be in at 7a this morning so running on low fuel. Thankfully only have to work till 12 since I work a 1/2 day tomorrow.

Had alot of trouble getting my fluids in yesterday, any tips? Also, someone mentioned protein coffee, how do you make it cause I find that my warm fluids go down faster and easier than cold or room temp which tend to feel stuck.

Have to pick up special tummy food for my puppy (she's 16) and maybe get my hair cut if they can work me in, otherwise, just relax till dinner, I think it wil be salmon, and rest. This was the first full week back to work and whew! I'm pooped.

Y'all have a great weekend, stay warm and safe, and don't forget that protein coffee recipie please!

Thanks,

XXX

Good morning!  I know what you mean about running low on fuel.  Heck...by Friday I am there anyway even if I don't work extra!  WE work some Saturday's here, too.  I usually do two or three a year that are mandatory and then come in some others for overtime.

Protein coffee is not something I do.  I will drink the RTD protein coffee flavors and warm them up.  I have added scoops of Any Whey protein to my hot coffee and hot chocolate.  That is the only protein that I am aware of that withstands the heat and still holds all of its nutritional value.  It is trial and error since most proteins clump up and do not blend smoothly.  Let me know if you find something!

I need a hair cut, too!  Before next weekend at the latest since that is baby shower day!  I also am getting some mommy-to-be portraits done and want to have it done before then, too.

Have a great day!

Good Morning!  Glad you had a good night & feel free to steal my ideas anytime.  A suggestion if you can work it into your busy schedule: a coworker does basic belly dancing at home, she is pregnant with her 2nd, and it help with keeping the muscles loose with her first.  Perhaps you could pick up a dvd somewhere.

My Thursday was pretty good.  Work was quiet so I was able to get a bunch accomplished.  Great family evening at home.  Some sad stuff going on around me.  A couple of my adopted sons are having some issues & really struggling, my stepmom had to put her dog to sleep last night and she is miserable, my young cousin is still in the hospital, diagnosed with strep & pnuemonia, very touch & go right now, the girlies have been having some issues.  Please pray for me & my loved ones.

Today is Friday, should be pretty quiet at work so I hope to get a bunch accomplished.  Get the girlies but have decided to have a quiet weekend.  I have some plans for myself tomorrow & hubby is going to take the giries out for some special time with daddy.  Hope you have a great one!!

Good morning, beautiful!  I had been thinking about that bubble bath all darn day and just could not resist!  It was just what I needed.  I have tried belly dancing but wasn't too happy with it...perhaps another go around is in order.  I do a yoga dvd at least every other day and really enjoy that.

You and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers.  Please let me know if you need anything!

I hope this weekend is all that you want it to be and then some.  Quiet times are a blessing and I know the girlies will enjoy that special daddy time.

I myself am praying for a less complicated weekend!

Good morning Tammy, Thursday morning I got the girls off to school then talked to Jackie for awhile then headed down to her house where I am spring cleaning for her while she is in the hospital. She will becoming home to my house when she  gets out of the hopital for about 7 weeks. I instead of turning to foods that aren't good for me I clean. I enjoy cleaning believe it or not. Jackie is still in alot of pain but that is expected with the broken bones and the trauma.
Today Friday I am going to drop the girls off at school this morning then head over to the hospital for a few hours then head back to Jackie's house for some more spring cleaning. The weekend I have nothing planned. Going to the hospital and finding somethings to do with the grandchildren is all I have planned thus far for the weekend. Oh I forgot to mention that my 9 year old granddaughter and 2 other girls won first place in competition with Bible verses last Saturday from our church. She was scared she said facing other children from other churches but she over came her fear with the Lord guding her along the way.
Thank you for the card it was very up lifting I needed that.
Love and prayer being sent your way.
Betty
