Sorry to hear you are in so much pain. I pray it lessons some with your protocol and gets stronger. As for getting in the van...maybe take a smaller set of steps and then ease up in it instead of one giant step! I will also say some prayers for your friends husband and his knee replacement. You are lucky to be going to the Larry the Cable Guy show...even if you are working it! I would adore being there. He is so funny to me! I got to see some snow this morning but nothing stuck around. Now it is just rain and overcast. Oh well...it was pretty while it lasted!
